2018 Top Ten Business Woman

Congratulations to Sue Tyson-Parker, who has been selected as a 2018 Top Ten Business Woman for ABWA!

Originally from a small town in West Virginia, Sue attended Marshall University and West Virginia State College where she studied behavioral psychology. After a career in child foster care, she moved to Florida and started a very successful career in the jewelry industry by working for large retail stores. She also worked in jewelry manufacturing and buying, and achieved several Gemological certifications in diamonds, colored stones and pearls while traveling throughout the eastern U.S. and Canada, conducting product knowledge and sales training seminars. After moving to Brevard County in 2000, Sue started an advertising career with FLORIDA TODAY newspaper and became involved in the community. She has been recognized and honored by various organizations for her contributions to the community. She has served as President of the Indialantic Rotary Club from 2010 to 2011, and was the first woman in Brevard County to graduate from the Rotary Leadership Institute. Sue has served as president of both Brevard County ABWA leagues and is founder of the ABWA Space Coast Women Express Network. She was recognized by both leagues as the Woman of the Year and was also selected several years as the Top Ten candidate representing each league. An ABWA member since 2000, Sue has served on several ABWA National committees, including the National Officer Nominating Committee, and the Ways & Means Committee at two National conferences. Sue currently serves as President and Program Chair for ABWA Oceanside Charter Chapter.
