Jen Lee
A Survivor's Story
Jennifer Lee is the creator and host of the “I Need Blue” podcast that she started in May 2020 based on her experience of surviving an armed robbery and abduction. As she shared her story, she was often asked, “Jen how did you escape?” Her response is, “We didn’t. We were rescued by law enforcement.” Hence the name, "I Need Blue."
As a result, Jen decided to start a platform for other survivors to share their stories. “I Need Blue,” hosted by Jen Lee, is a podcast series featuring real-life stories from local, national and international survivors of trauma. One of Jen’s latest episodes features Serene Harbor and preventing teen dating violence. Another story highlights Dr. Finneran, who treated four surviving students of the Parkland school shooting.
Jennifer Lee was born and raised in Michigan where she lived for twenty-five years. She has two boys who are now Marines, one active in Japan, and the other in non-active reserves living in San Diego. Since remarrying, Jen has lived in Virginia, Washington, South Carolina and now Melbourne, Florida for the past three years.
Jen has fifteen years of extensive retail management experience. As the media spokesperson in the Richmond, VA market, she managed the number one outlet in the US when she worked for Tumi. She later worked as an assistant manager for the world’s second largest Goodwill store. Jen is passionate about making an impact, helping people and generating results.
