2021 Chapter Woman of the Year

Congratulations to Julie Allen, Oceanside Charter Chapter 2021 Woman of the Year! 

As Vice President of Business Operations at FirstWave Financial, Julie Allen provides collaborative leadership to implement effective, firm-wide operational policies, objectives, and initiatives in accordance with FirstWaveFinancial goals.  She is responsible for the design, enhancement, implementation, reporting and oversight of the firm’s financials, business operations, technology, and human resources. 

A seasoned business executive, Julie has earned credentials as a Certified Medical Practice Executive and Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.  Prior to her position at FirstWave Financial, Julie was a strategic and operational leader in the healthcare industry with a reputation for working collaboratively with physicians to improve processes, increase revenue and enhance client satisfaction. Julie has extensive experience in building profitable start-up businesses and the deployment of technological solutions to achieve organizational goals.

Julie earned her MBA degree from Boise State University, Boise, ID and a BS/BA in Management from the University of Central Florida, Orlando, FL.

Active in her community, Julie has been a member of the Medical Group Management Association, having served as a National Board Member and former President of the Idaho Chapter.  Julie has been a member of ABWA Oceanside Charter Chapter since January 2020, and was awarded the Protégé Award in January 2021.  During the past year, Julie has chaired the Professional Development Committee and has actively participated on the Best Practices Committee and the Holiday Event Planning Committee.  In addition, Julie has recruited three new members to join the Chapter this past year. 

A life-long learner and avid reader, Julie is an outdoor sports enthusiast enjoying water sports, snow skiing, hiking and biking.  She also volunteers for Genesis House, a non-profit organization that provides emergency shelter and long-term housing for women and their children.
